Changing the way we do coffee and tea on campus!
Kicking off on October 1, the start of Sustainability Week, Queen’s Hospitality Services is changing the way we do coffee at 10 food locations across campus. The aim is to reduce the use of single serve coffee cups and lids while adding value for our customers!
- All coffee and tea’s purchased in a reusable mug, at participating locations, price of a small.
- After purchasing 7 coffee or tea’s with a reusable mug and receiving 7 stamps on the new ECO Beverage Card, customers are able to get a cup of coffee or tea for free in their mug!
- Our goal is to increase the use of reusable mugs on campus from 5% to 20%
- By increasing the usage of reusable mugs on campus to 20%, we would be saving 23,894 cups and lids from the landfill and recycling streams. That’s a big deal.
