Sustainable Food Purchases: As a university that provides meals to thousands of people daily during a typical year, food that is purchased can have a real impact, so it is important to promote sustainable food services wherever possible. One practice that makes a significant impact is by purchasing 100% sustainable seafood. Hospitality purchases only MSC, ASC, or Ocean Wise seafood to be served in dining halls, Hospitality branded food locations, through Catering and Event Services, and at the Donald Gordon Centre. This practice contributes to the protection of the world’s oceans and the preservation of underwater ecosystems.
