PEACH Market

An initiative to support food insecurity on campus, in partnership with the Alma Mater Society and Student Affairs.

Mission: To nourish the Queen’s community by combatting food insecurity, supporting food recovery, and by providing students, staff, and faculty with access to healthy food.

  • Equality
  • Inclusivity
  • Dignity
  • Sustainability

Vision: To create a sustainable, inclusive space that provides dignified and equitable access to nutritious food and removes the stigma around food insecurity on campus.

PEACH, the Providing Equal Access, Changing Hunger Market is a food-forward initiative created to complement other food access programs on campus, like Swipe it Forward and the AMS Food Bank.

Queen’s University is dedicated to addressing food insecurity, a reality that impacts many Canadian students in post-secondary institutions every year.

Operating on a sliding scale, patrons can self-select the amount they pay for their food from a list of suggested prices. This operating model strives to uphold people’s dignity and autonomy by providing access to high-quality and nutritious food at a low cost.

Food from across Queen’s Hospitality Services’ locations is packaged and sold at an accessible cost. The PEACH Market supports sustainability on campus by engaging in food rescue, contributing to the University’s goals for a sustainable and just future. As a shared priority between Student Affairs and the AMS, the PEACH Market is proud to be operated by student volunteers for our campus community.

With a fresh menu updated daily, PEACH Market welcomes you to stop by to grab a snack or a meal to fuel your day. We are excited to serve and support you.
